Brutti Compadres

After more than 30 years as a Glasgow institution, the doors of the restaurant known as Brutti Compadres will close on Monday 26 January 2026, following the sale of the Virginia Court building.

Some of you will know us — Charlotte and Randy. We’ve been part of the Brutti story for 7 and 9 years respectively, and proudly count ourselves as card-carrying ugly mates.

Over the years we’ve slung tapas, shoogled tins, hosted tastings, and shared more laughs than we can count. More recently, those tasting events sparked an idea for what comes next.

We’re now working on a new Brutti format: pop-up events that take everything we loved about Brutti Compadres — the food, the wine, the chaos, the warmth — and take it on the road.

For now, it’s very much a watch this space moment.
